About Durgesh

Durgesh Kalya is a seasoned industry professional with over 19 years of experience across manufacturing, engineering design, and IT, with a core focus on Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Security and Incident Management within the Critical Infrastructure Sector.

He currently serves as the Cybersecurity Officer (CySO) for the Baytown Site of Covestro LLC, where he leads cybersecurity strategy and risk management initiatives to safeguard operational technology (OT) assets.

Durgesh is actively engaged with incident response coordination through the ICS4ICS Working Group, contributing to the advancement of standardized response protocols for industrial cyber incidents.

In previous roles, Durgesh served as the Director of Safety and Security at the International Society of Automation (ISA) and was the Co-founder of the IoTSF Houston Chapter. He also chaired the Safety and Cybersecurity Subcommittee under ISA’s Technical Advisory Committee, driving cross-sector guidance for industrial safety and cyber resilience.

Durgesh holds globally recognized credentials including CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), reflecting his commitment to upholding best practices in information security and risk governance.
