The Elephant in the Incident Control Room for OT is Actually a Mammoth (Scheduled)
An effective incident response starts with knowing where to look, how to organize a response team and how to effectively respond. The number of incidents in the critical infrastructure sector related to cyberattacks have gone up in the last decade. This has led to governments, agencies and industries to look into their current incident response practices. This paper explores the current challenges in the incident response for critical infrastructure sector such as insider threats, complex and aging OT Systems, lack of expertise in OT security, lack of understanding of OT System architecture and IT focussed approaches to Asset monitoring, Vulnerability Management and propose possible solutions to a more effective and efficient Incident Response in the era of Industry 4.0. This paper also introduces the ICS4ICS framework and provide information for companies and organization to use ICS4ICS for incident Command System as a path forward for their Incident Command Systems for Industrial Control Systems.

Panel Discussion – Contribution of Digital Champions in Industry 4.0 Initiatives

A Digital Champion is a person/team who has complete overview of the system and is conversant with business and technology aspects. S/he is involved right from concept to completion. S/he is the internal owner of the system and ensures acceptance, adoption and continued usage by end users. Key responsibilities after system goes live are handholding end users, take their feedback, identify improvement areas and plan for the same.

The panel will discuss multi-disciplinary nature of i4.0 initiatives, ecosystem; why many initiatives fail; role and importance of digital champion(s); who can become a digital champion; training requirements, etc.
